I'm curious at what point MegaDrum triggers a foot chik MIDI NOTE. I reviewed the manual but it simply covered how to configure the various MIDI NOTES for the various hihat events. Does it invoke the foot chik trigger when the pedal is half closed? Nearly fully closed? Totally fully closed?
I'm asking as I have a serious issue with the Trigger IO in that it always initiates the foot chik about 1/2 way through the pedal travel with no way to control that trigger point. So if you're using an advanced VST like Superior 2 which can fully articulate the hihat based purely on CC data what you get is a mis-placed foot chik trigger in the middle of your pedal travel.
Open, less open, even less open, FOOT CHIK, partially closed, more closed, fully closed.
It's even more annoying as I have a fully acoustic hihat and stand converted to electronic. So visually the hats aren't even close to being closed when the foot chik triggers.
I'd think the foot chik should be happenening when my pedal is fully closed. So how does MegaDrum handle this?
